The Volkswagen Group is preparing to launch three new electric vehicles on the Chinese market in 2026. According to certification applications, the company will present two electric sedans – ID. UNYX 09 and Jetta M6, as well as the electric SUV ID.Aura T6.
Collaboration with Xpeng
Two of these three new EV models were developed in partnership with the Chinese company Xpeng, indicating Volkswagen's strategic cooperation with local manufacturers to strengthen its position in the world's largest electric vehicle market.
Market Launch Plans
All three models are expected to appear on the Chinese market during 2026. This will allow Volkswagen to expand its electric vehicle lineup and increase its share in the electric transport market in China.
Importance for the European Market
Although the new models are aimed at the Chinese market, the development of Volkswagen's technology and experience in China may positively impact their models for European consumers. Tracking charging stations and routes for the new models will be facilitated by the EV-NAV app, which is relevant for electric vehicle owners in Europe.
Thus, Volkswagen continues to invest in the development of electric vehicles, which is an important step towards sustainable mobility.
